1. How does Bivvy Work?
Sellers add items to their Equipment Locker and can decide to make these items available for sale. Each seller can set their own price and is responsible for the accuracy of the item details and agreeing to a sale. Buyers are presented a marketplace that prioritized items related to the interests they have selected as part of the sign up process. Our aim is that from the start, we help surface items related to the activities you take part in or are interested in. Buyers can either agree to buy the item for the asking price, or, where the seller has agreed to accept offers, make an offer for the item. Once the buyer and seller agree on a price, or the buyer agrees to the original price, the two parties agree on the logistics of taking ownership of the item. Once both parties have agreed the item has exchanged hands, the item will automatically move to the buyers Equipment Locker and both parties are asked to rate and review the other party.
2. How does Bivvy make money?
Our plan calls for us to roll out value added services in the future that will help connect buyers with seller’s items more quickly and easily. It is our hope that these new features are seen as valuable and a fair price can be charged.
3. Are there any fees for selling items?
We currently don’t charge sellers for posting items. It is our intent to keep this model going forward.
4. How do I pay for the item I want to purchase?
Bivvy doesn’t provide a payment system so the Parties are encourage to agree on whether to exchange cash for the item or use a digital service such as PayPal or Venmo.
